Pastoral Care for Pupils

The Pastoral Care for the children at St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School is very important. The school ensures it provides a high level of duty of care, welfare and safety for all children. The mentoring at St Patrick’s involves working with children experiencing barriers to learning which could be related to social, emotional, health or personal reasons.

Some pupils are supported in their behavior with Personal Support Plans (PSPs). Targets are set to engage pupils in moving forward. Parents are invited to come and meet with a mentor to discuss the child’s PSP regularly.

The school values and nurtures its work with the local community and builds strong relationships with outside agencies to support the mentoring of our children.

Whatever issues individual pupils face, learning mentors can help them develop respect not just for themselves but also for those around them.

If you feel that your child could benefit from mentoring, please contact the school.
