Sporting Achievements 2014/2015

Please take a look at our gallery of photos from the many different sporting events we participated in last year. We entered many different leagues and festivals in a variety of sports and every child who represented the school did so brilliantly.

Our sports day was a huge success with special guest MBE Mark Regan running a whole school assembly to motivate the children and share his stories beforehand.

We also celebrated lots of achievements and awards during our Sports Assembly. Sportsperson of the Year, Outstanding Attitude and Mr Harris' Heroes were presented to selected children who had shown fantastic attributes during the year as well as every child who had represented the school earning a medal and certificate. We also had awards for children to had improved throughout the year, whether it was in confidence or skills.

We had three children in Year 5 who participated in a Gifted and Talented Scheme which is brilliant. One of our children even made it through to the final 30 so she will continue the scheme this year.

St Patrick's Catholic Primary School earned two big awards this year. We achieved a Bronze Sainsburys School Games Mark this year. Next year we will aim for the Silver Mark. We also the 'Mayors Award of Excellence for a Health Improving School'.

And finally, we had 3 children who received awards at a Bristol Schools award evening. To be nominated and then win each award was an amazing achievement both for themselves and for the school. We are very proud.

This year is going to be even bigger and better for Sport and Outdoor learning at St Patrick's and we look forward to updating you with photos and reports.
