Anti-Bullying

At St Patrick's School, we take any form of bullying seriously and recognise that, although on the whole, our pupils behave in a kind and respectful manner towards each other, sometimes friendships go wrong. We always try to work with the children involved to get things back on the right track . We work to help children understand  that their behaviour has an effect on other children and learn how to respond and deal with unexpected behaviour as it occurs in their daily life.

Anti-Bullying Week : 13th - 17th November 2023

This year, we are launching Anti-Bullying Week in conjunction with the Anti-Bullying Alliance - the theme we are focusing on is MAKE A NOISE!

Please take a moment to watch this video, which discusses bullying and its definition, and how we can 'MAKE A NOISE'.

NON-UNIFORM DAY

To launch this special-themed week, all children and staff were invited to come into school on Monday 13th November wearing bright colours. Mrs Roy held a whole-school assembly with the children. Throughout the week, the children participated in lots of activities, which led to a wonderful, whole-school display.

Here we are on Monday morning during the launch assembly!

Activities

Each and every class looked at different types of bullying, with a focus on how we can all work together to stop bullying behaviour.

Our Song

This year, Mrs Roy will introduce our Anti-Bullying Assembly with this song, by Bruno Mars 'You can count on me'. Take a look at the lyrics below. Our children will be listening to this song throughout the week.

Mental Health

During the term, we are focusing on our Mental Health. Each Tuesday, Olivia - our Mental Health Nurse - is in school. On 15th November, Olivia led a whole-school assembly and showed is this video.
